Pamukkale is situated 14 km far from Denizli. It is very well known with is interesting travertins. It is listed as the world’s importent touristic values. The travertens have been exposed on the surface of the soil 400m high of sea level. Behind the travertens the antique city (Hierapolis) and hot spring baths are the importen spots worth to visit and see. These an called “Pamukkale – coton castle” after is exposure which tend to look like coton masses that in fact it was petrified in the form of sheeps more less cream colored pombous line stone hardining or exposure as a stalactite while calcerrous water running become petrified in the form of sheeps when it reaches the hot spring water 35°C after having been mixed with gas of carbon dioxide and formed the cream colored masses.

         Hierapolis is situated 22 km North of Denizli. It is founded by Eumenes the Second. The king of Peregemun in 190 BC. The city had become the religious center of Byzantinium Empire for a period of time. The city was destroyed after a several earthquake in 1354 AD.
